Originally started out as a series of events, Levant Disco is a Berlin-Istanbul based creative community composed of artists, musicians, researchers and cultural workers who concern themselves with and influenced by contemporary conversations around concepts of “orientalism”, “colonialism”. We are particularly concerned, or specialised in the electronic or “technologically leaning” music and although we are emphasising the idea of Disco, it is not merely a genre tag. Our intention is to dig deeper into the word and emphasise the ritualistic aspect and the everyday (almost religious) necessity of gathering for the purpose of ceremony. Our title uses “Disco” primary for that aspect but also because it is one of the most ‘fun’ words to ever signify that ritualistic ideal.

Under our newly formed label, we bring together talented producers, live acts, and DJs based in Istanbul and Berlin. Our aim is to create a line-up that supports fresh, up-and-coming artists through headline acts. Our musical vision is centered around crafting unique atmospheres by seamlessly blending genres in peerless ways. We strive to harmoniously unite the “old” and the “new” sounds, creating a truly captivating experience for our audience. At our events, we offer two distinct floors, catering to different states of mind. The first floor invites you to wear off your dancing shoes with pulsating Dark Disco, Indie Dance, breakbeat-house, and techno music. Meanwhile, the second floor provides a more relaxed ambiance, allowing you to enjoy an organic and smooth dance experience. Join us as we embark on a musical journey that transcends boundaries and elevates the senses.
As Levant Disco, we organize our club events together with our range of artists inspired by the Levant roots. We thrive on working collaboratively with other collectives in order to act as a melting pot of different visions and to grow together to decorate the venue with our sonic architecture, live music showcases with artists whom are fresh in the scene yet experienced, passionate, skilled in their art. We are in the search to expand into new locations and looking for opportunities to bring our to new spaces.
“Abacılar “, the Caribbean Spanish slang “to go for a dance”. Abacılar is a Producer, Audio Engineer and DJ based in Berlin. His productions are based on digital models, yet inspired by an organic touch. He is motivated to create an energetic atmosphere to deliver distinctive grooves, hypnotic leads and powerful Bass lines. He thrives on taking the dance floor on a sonic journey where exists nothing but the epic resonances that take effect. His music taste and connections are deeply molded and influenced by the vibrant nightlife of Istanbul. He has been an avid dancer ever since he could simply walk. His musical journey through the Americas left him further enchanted with the connectivity of music, consequently he began to experiment with his own productions and organize festivals in exotic places along his journey. His travels eventually led him to Berlin where he began to organize underground raves in abandoned spaces and produce music that takes one on a journey to travel to distinct atmospheres. Abacılar is now in the process of releasing music which he has been working on in the past years and founding a label with a vision inspired bring a fresh new palateto the ears.
Emin Gök is a musician, artist and psychologist who aims to redefine and reintroduce tradition through mostly but not exclusively, sound. He executes that by intentionally carrying or cancelling cultural elements which plays on our perception and values, eventually adding to his experimental soundscape and post-genre attitude. His recent works include a very successful debut EP and a psychoanalytically-minded sound- collage installed in Mamut Art Project 2021, and have been described as carrying a kind of raw sensuality and a primitive, intuitive movement while at the same time being reflective on its identity.
